I worked yesterday afternoon and evening and finished up some detail this morning on my entry for the swap. I had fun - it's a little smaller than I usually work - approximately 10" tall - and my big clumsy fingers have a little trouble working around those teensy tiny folded paper fan circles. Again, I used a Tom Tierney paper doll as the character image.
I'm thinking it's probably finished. I may add a couple of feathers do her headdress and maybe some sparkles on her 'jewels' ... but I always get nervous adding at this point. If I mess it up with something inconsequential, I get really ticked off at myself.

mmmmmm...love the color especially! i am going to say two words to you that are going to revolutionize your life: "liquid beadz". i can say no more.
I have some of those ... I didn't have very good luck with it. They always looked all glommed up and glue-y.
Maybe I should get them out and practice. I'm sure there's a simple secret to using them I just haven't discovered yet LOL
i would imagine that they could be icky looking if you tried to use them in a thin layer. i often use them as grout in the mosaics. i just trowel them on using one of those neat little rubber tipped "clay shapers" and/or "color shapers". i use a sort of fat spatula shaped one. oh wow, must thank you again for the spoonblossom? tip! now to wrap my fingers around a spare 18 bucks!
the more i look at this marie antoinette piece the more i love it. the color is so exquisite. there are surprises in the combinations that are unique and lovely! rock on witcher bad self!

No, I didn't fold them myself. They're Mexican paper roses made for Day of the Dead displays. I used to make crepe flowers - but these are beautiful, and frankly cost less than I'm willing to let my work go for! LOL
