This is a portion of Belle Starr ... more on the way soon.
And this is some of the beginnings of a new mixed media project. It has to be changed DRAMATICALLY from the original concept. I thought that these shoes were going to be 6 inches long when I ordered them from eBay. Turns out that they're SIZE 6...in human size. What was intended to be a shadow box may very well turn into a room sized installation. I'm still in need of green glitter opera length gloves!
Well, that's enough of this silliness. I'm off to get to work.
I hope you have plans to make something beautiful today ... and that you'll let me peek!

Oh, my. I'm laughing about your shoe acquisition. I've had purchases like that.
Oh, I can't wait to see what you are going to do with the shoes.....

Hello Tristan,
Whatever you are making it looks awesome already...
~ Gabriela ~
You pending work looks great! lol that is too funny about the shoes. I had the opposite happen once. I purchased an old cast iron skillet and when it arrived it was a super tiny house decoration. Keep up the inspiring work!

Hi there, do not know if i like the shoes better or the man picture..hmm..the shoes are not my size so I guess its the latter.
Love you blog by the way, hope you do not mind if I stick around for a bit.
Andrea.
EVIL, EVIL BOY!!!!!
Now my brain is shot for serious work for the rest of the day after that final picture!!!!!
SLURP!!!!!!!!

Sorry, that is the bad mannered, not polite Anne fighting to get out, and she's winning too!
XXXOOO!!!! And a few extra for the pic!!!!! :)
I love the little keys! And the red sparkly shoes reminds me of Dorothy's red ruby slippers :-) - follow the yellow brick road . . . LoL
Who could pass up those Ruby Slippers??
(the mixed media key piece looks
especially yummy .. . is the star rusted?)
jjjj
Thanks so much Sweetie! Hugs, Kimberly
Love the new work. I can't wait to see your finished project. But I can occupy myself with that last pic while I wait.
I'm telling myself to stay focused.
I can't wait to see what becomes of those gorgeous shoes.
Teasing...guess that's your thing Tristan ~ an Idol party and I wasn't invited, humpf! Lol ~ xo Heidi
i looooove watching you play with these muted cowgirl colors! i always love your color and texture and this piece is no exception. honestly, they get better n better n better... must be that stable of boy inspiration working their magic behind the scenes! (((hugs)))
I'm sooooo jealous, I would die for a pair of ruby red slippers like that!
Love Debs xx
But no six-shooter?!
:(
I thought they would be featuring daily from now on...
Will the red shoes, if clicked get me one of those in the last photo? ;) ;) ;)
Ooo, can't wait to see your "installation" ;)
Happy day Mister T!!
I love having a little peek at your creation.....it looks beautiful. I ordered a pink tablecloth from ebay in the middle of the night.....when I received it .....it was dollhouse size......oops!!!! Have a great day.
~Sue~
Makes so happy to hear that someone else gets it wrong!!!! Say, I wear a size 6!!!
What a tease you are Tristan....however I like the way you tease (i.e. last pic). haha on the shoes.
I did that once on Ebay, ordered a hat I thought was for humans - it was doll sized.
Those shoes are my size! I wish I could click my heels together, get this move over with and say in the words of Judy G.
"There's no place like home."
