Oh, What a Rosy Pink Morning ....

Okay. It's 11:00 Friday evening, and I know I have to figure out what I'm going to post for Beverly's Pink Saturday. I couldn't decide. Nothing really seemed to scream "post me for the world to view" to me tonight. I decided I needed some inspiration, so I found something way in the back of the closet from days gone by ... just to get in the mood. Also, I realized I looked fairly bizarre, so it was a great excuse to have a pink martini ... any excuse for a martini on a Friday evening is a good one!

Okay. Now that I'm properly attired to ponder the many possibilities of Beverly's Pink Saturday....

Oh!

What is Beverly's Pink Saturday? Well, rather than me go through the whole explanation (probably forgetting something important along the way), why don't you just go learn about it from the proverbial leader of the pack. Just click on the button below and you'll be whisked away - no doubt on a cloud of internet pink fog - to Beverly's where you can read all about it.

Now. I knew I had this remarkable and outlandish mantilla/tiara/hat/headband thingamabob. I had planned to post it. I mean - is there anything like it anywhere? I just wish I had somebody to model it! But, even though gorgeous and bizarre and juuuuust a tad over the top - and pink, of course - it didn't seem to be quite enough. What else could I find? What else could top it? What else could this mantilla/tiara/hat/headband thingamabob need to really make it sing?

Of course! Light! Light works miracles for everything. One of my favorite lines from a play is when the very old actor in The Fantasticks goes away and requests somewhat plaintively, "remember me in light."

So I found this, which really turned me on - and I thought you might like to see it, as well.
But, then I remembered. Everybody that participates in Beverly's Pink Saturday is a mature, dignified, and elegant person with delicate sensibilities and refined tastes. Perhaps a pink chandelier, complete with pink high heels and a pink princess crown, with a pink velvet cord cover wouldn't be their cup of pink tea.

So, I thought I should post this light - because it's far more tasteful and refined.

But then I realized I was perhaps being unfair. Perhaps others would enjoy the abandon and absurd notion of a chandelier with pink high heels on it...with or without a pink princess crown.

In fact, there are any number of pink lights which would suffice to show off our pink crystal mantilla/tiara/hat/headband thingamabob in the best light. So - really - why not just show them ALL?

So here we are ... a few pink chandeliers to enjoy. So enjoy!

And, don't forget today is the Carnival Soiree! And there is another Mad Hatter Tea Party at Ingrid's today! And tomorrow is the Treasure Hunt over at Moonlight Hollow. See you there ... until then, enjoy your Pink Saturday - and don't forget to head over to Beverly's to see who else is participating this week!

Now - after you see all the pink goodies, and attend Lisa's Carnival Soiree and Ingrid's Mad Hatter Tea Party - go make something beautiful!

Oye,

I think you need to put a warning at the top of this post. According to the Surgeon General being exposed to this much pink bling could cause a fatal case of Hives :)snort:) But the original Cleopatra meets Auntie Mame head piece is really great!! I love it :)

PS I know some Carnaval Queens that would kill for it :)

Love all the pink chandeliers! :-) Hey, I wouldn't mind having the whimsical one with the pink high heels :-)Does that mean I don't have such refined taste? :-) In this case, with a chandelier like that - I don't mind at all. lol

Hhhmmmmmm I wonder what it feels like to wear a headband such as that :-)

Happy Pink Saturday!

Tristan, that's so funny. I thoroughly enjoyed your post! And I love how you always close with "go make something beautiful."

There's so much inspiration in blogland that I've gotten out my sewing machine and left it set up for a whole week. In my tiny house, that's a first.

Thanks for your visit.

Hi Tristan,
well, being a dignified and refined sort of person (yeah right!)I naturally would be drawn to a pared down chandelier with minimal crystals and thingamabobs dripping from it but guess what? I ADORE that chandelier with the Pink heels! But hey, that's just me...bwah hahahaahahahaha!!!

Nice suit.

But I'm particularly interested in the badge, or is it a broach?

A pink suit is pretty damn daring. But to wear a badge too, crumbs above.

Ooh! I love all the sparklies! Those chandeliers are so pretty. I have one that I made from teacups like that. I love it, but will have to wait until my husband's next Army station to use it as they wouldn't let us put it up here. Oh, well, that'll just have to be a future "pink post"!
