Okay. Maybe I'm the last person to know about

Margaux Lange and her rather macabre, but totally fabulous jewelry. I'm not even a jewelry lover - and I have no interest in Barbie, whatsoever, but I find this jewelry to be amazing! You can see more at her Etsy shop here

That's it. Nothing more. I just had to share that. I am either completely fascinated by these - or utterly in fear of them. Either way, they're pretty remarkable!

I just stumbled upon your blog and I have to say, I am really enjoying it. Your topics, photos and writing are wonderful!

I really laughed at the post about ironing a shirt...I don't think I've picked up an iron in about 15 years...scary, but true.

I'm off to read more of your past posts.

Fear gets my vote! It is like putting your hands over your eyes to block out the horror movie...but then you MUST peek to see what is going on. I must say you do find the most interesting things!

I had seen her work before. I think I found her about 2 years ago. It is always nice to see when someone finds an artistic niche and explores it so thoroughly. Did you ever see any of those altered Barbie Dolls? I think the woman was on ebay .... She ltered the dolls into completely different persona so they didn't even look like Barbies anymore.

I am new to your blog - I've seem you comment on other blogs I visit as well so I did that inevitable click on your name. AND may I just say WOW!!! I've scrolled down and around..... and again...WOW!!! I love your art, your imagination, your phenomenal talent for putting using unusual items. (a ham can?)
I like the music here too, I often listen to Edith Piaf in my studio. Now I want to know more about "There are no Fairies at the bottom"...what is that from?
I hope you don't mind if I add you to my sidebar..
OH I would love it if you took part in the Project Blogway challenge coming up. It will be on my blog later this month.
OK, now I sound like gushing....I am not a gusher...we'll call it enthusiasm!
Lovely to meet you!

Okay, I have collected Barbies way to long to look at this.....makes me cringe, and believe me---for an old Punk---that takes a lot!
But the craftsmanship is excellent.

I love them! I am going to this Etsy shop as soon as I finish commenting. Haven't been checking into the blogs this last week. Looks like I have some catching up to do. Love the Helena Rubenstein ad and the fabulous red and white party room. Thanks for all the heads up on what is out there and interesting. Pam

I'm a Barbie fan from way back...maybe that's why I like to make miniature paper fashions. I first read about her work in the NY Times a month ago and I find it utterly fascinating in a macabre sort of way.

I was having so much trouble getting on to your comment page that I was clicking on to numerous posts to get one to open. Seems that they layered underneath....well, artist that you are, you understand layering I'm sure!! Love the pink tussie mussie.
Thank you, my dear, for your infectious enthusiasm which made me so 'smiley' this morning. You would be the perfect dinner guest, Tristan. I know how much you would enjoy the sensory overload at my house!
All the best,
Catherine
