a truly lovely work of art Tristan..how long did it take you to make it..or actually both as it is double sided..what a huge endeavor...did you use a machine quilt stitch on the back or it is free motion?

Good Morning Tristan My Friend... Oh what a beautiful quilt you have made. Your color palette choices are so gorgeous. It tells a story.
You are a man of many talents. A true artist. I will treasure my one piece of your art forever. My stage remains front and center in my dining room, where all can see. I smile each time I see it.
Happy New year Tristan. I can't wait to share another year blogging with you.
Really? You make quilts? I never knew! My grandfather owned a huge wheat farm in Saskatchewan and he worked from sun up to sun down. Then he would come in and make quilts. He called them bed blankets. I have three of them that I just treasure.
Your work is awesome. You have such talent Tristan!
I have been to the Palace Versailles and yes, I am one that would like my dream to sleep there come true.
Happy Sunday to you and yours. May the day hold wonder and peace for you.
You are such a clever chook! Hope you make loads of money on your fantastic quilt. The time you spent on it must have been huge. Good job! PS...what are blogs for if 'one' can't add a shameless plug now and again. Hehehe
What a gorgeous quilt. I love the colors and the design. Wouldn't this be a gorgeous focal point to design a room around? Just beautiful. Mary Emmerling would adore this one!
One word: AWESOME! I want to hear more from you, my blogger friend. I need my "From-The-Mind-Of-Tristan" fix. You're blog's awesome and I truly enjoy it very much. Hope to read a new entry from you soon.
Muah!! Tristan, thank you so much for the lovely tinsel. I cannot stop looking at it or playing with the strands.
You are the most kind and thoughtful person ever. Now that my tree is down, I will send the little lady to New England. She's done being a cowgirl out here in Texas...:D
Hey, you're back! In all your shining glory! Well, I see not quite regularly yet, but, a little All Bran might fix that up. Sorry. I'm at work and desperate for a laugh.

Yes! Life does sparkle and shimmer and glimmer and gleam! And I love it! Whether I'm making art, working with fabric, paper, ink and vintage findings - or working on a theatre piece - or sewing like an ecstatic dervish on a new art quilt - I'm always attracted to what shimmers just out of sight...the ghosts of sparkle and the rich dignity of decayed splendor.
Sparkle!
Shimmer!
Glimmer!
Gleam!

Only you could take two themes from opposite sides of the spectrum and "make it work"!
