29 Days and Counting ...

Only 29 days until my favorite holiday of the year - Hallowe'en! Of course, in December my favorite holiday is Christmas and in February my favorite holiday is Valentine's Day. Oh, well ... it's October now - so my favorite holiday is Hallowe'en!

I've started making my Hallowe'en cards, and I thought I'd share the one I made for my mom, since there's no chance she's going to chance upon my blog and spoil the surprise (if it's not her email, the NYTimes crossword puzzle, or the jigsaw puzzles on Jigzone.com, she doesn't go there LOL).

I used lots of Alpha Stamps goodies to create this oversized tag/greeting card.
I love the new furniture and clock die-cuts, the miniature reliquaries, the creepy critter silhouettes, and the terrific new decorative papers.
I made a couple crepe papier rosettes and layered several different papers from the Bo Bonny "Wonderfully Wicked Collection" paper pad. The little 'rivets' are drops of Black Diamonds Ranger Stickles.
The grandfather clock and the urn are from the Victorian Furniture Die Cuts sheet, and the bat is from the Creepy Critters Sheet of die cuts. It's decorated with papers from the Bo Bunny "Wonderfully Wicked Collection" paper pad, Tiny Dots Dresden Border Orange, the clock face from the Mini Clock and Winding Key Set, and a piece of chain and the Victorian Drop or Handle Raw Brass used as a pendulum. The draperies in the pendulum chamber are from the Square Shadowbox-Opera Comique collage sheet. The witch and crescent moon in the circle at the upper left corner of the tag is from the Halloween Clock Faces collage sheet.

Here is the complete Alpha Stamps supply list so you can make your own "Time for Halloween" tag/greeting card!

Tristan, you are amazing. I love your posts, they are a feast for the eyes, and knowledgable to boot! I adore your art work. I've been a watcher of your blog for awhile now and just had to let you know how much you make me smile. Oh yes, my darling husband always peeks over my shoulder when he notices me reading your blog. Thank you from both of us.

I'm only a month late getting here. but that just means I love the tag 30 times more. What do I especially love about it? Easy--the feather urn.
