Christmas Spendor brought by Doll and Miniature Theatre Creator, Marie Antoinette!

Since Christmastime is the most magical time of the year - and people are always full of fanciful notions and enchanting dreams - I thought this was the perfect time to share the work of my friend, Marie Antoinette (yes! that's her name!). You can find many more example of her work on her blog Dolls by Toni. The blog is a combined effort of Marie Antoinette and her friend Edie Marie. They refer to themselves as Marie Antoinette (the doll creator and maker of fabulous items) who lives in Peacock Paradise, and Edie Marie (the creator of the posts and story telling on the blog and amateur crafter of many things in her "attic") who lives on Golden Pond. Though living many miles apart, they make a wonderful partnership in Bloglandia!

Today, I wanted to share two of Marie Antoinette's charming and imaginative creations.
These pieces will be on display at the Picayune Train Depot for "Christmas on the Rails."
This is so breathtaking! Marie has created an elegant "tree" that would look fabulous in any room. She has used the traditional tree shape to put a whole new take on what you can do with that vintage wedding gown that's hanging in your closet!

From this small vintage inspired cameo silhouette ornament (above) came the inspiration for Marie's Bridal Gown Christmas Tree (below).

There are vintage looking ornaments all throughout the lace, strands of beaded garland draped, the pales pink peacock at the sleeves from which a sparkling chandelier hangs.
...and topped with a shimmering golden crown
The gorgeous lace is just beginning to have the faintest coloring of time ...
And, on we continue to one of the most delightful miniature theatres I've ever seen!
The theatre within turns, and is lit by a crystal chandelier. The figures on the stage are porcelain with fine detailing and exquisite costuming.

Well, I'll just let the photos do the talking for me!

I would like to thank Marie Antoinette and Edie Marie for generously allowing me to gather photos and captions from their blog Dolls by Toni. And for adding a bit of Christmas magic and beauty here to Enchanted Revelries! Please be sure to stop by their blog and see more of their splendid creations and charming decorations ... tell them Tristan sent you!

Now, go make something beautiful!

The bridal gown Christmas tree is oddly disturbing, in a Grey Gardens kind of way. Beautiful, but disturbing. Do love that miniature stage :)

Tristen you are so sweet to showcase Marie's work! She is so talented and I adore her creativity. Her Bridal Christmas Tree and the Nutcracker Theater Doll are incredible! I've seen Marie's work in person and pictures absolutely do not do her work justice.
I couldn't ask for a more wonderful blog partner.

Thank you for your kindness Tristen. Merry Christmas and the best in 2014! Edie Marie
